Lilac Wedding

Delicate, wired, whimsical, exquisite…

Lilac is so trendy to be almost abused now. Someone keeps on thinking that it is a shade of violet and being disappointed about it.

It is lilac, not pink nor violet!

An elegant color usually matched with ivory, and used in different shade of flowers – roses, scented pea, lila, lisianthys, hydrangea, lavender…

We had a few in this last year. Each one was very different from the other as this color can be used in many different ways having always a good impact!

Silvia and Fernando for their wedding in Portofino, for example, chose a mix of ivory roses, lilac and deep pink with scented pea flowers with many and ribbons of different dimension in lilac silk, so lightful and refined.

Starting from invitations, order of service booklets, table cards, menu, thank you cards and favors were realized on ivory background and enriched with lilac printing, drawings or ribbons.

A sweet glamour coordination that also the groom really appreciated at the end!

Another interesting way of using this shade is contrasting it with a theme that generally is close to other colors: no other color but lilac can give a chic touch to a country wedding.

New trends try to match rustic with elegant style and it is exactly what we decided to do with Fabiola and Marco’s wedding last September.

Bridegroom chose a Relais de Charme in Monferrato the country side region of Piemonte for their big day!

An arrangement totally based on country elements: hazelnuts willows, herbs and spices, lots of greenery and rough ivory cotton fabrics. Then the chic touch: lilac!
