Weddings in Rome

The main reason that pushes people to get married, is certainly the will to realize a dream…. and if it has to be a dream, why not try to make it perfect in a place which inspires romanticism and beauty?
We sometimes love so much a place to desire it to be the setting where “The Day” will be remembered, the one that will change the course of our lives.
Surely those who choose Rome, wish to breath air of times gone by “to live“a little piece of history; maybe to find back their own ancient soul…yes, because everybody’s roots are here.
Culture was born in this city and every human being, even if belonging to different ethnic groups owns a fragment of it.
If you wish for a catholic wedding, Rome is the city of churches, it owns something like a hundred, from the most imposing to the most tiny. Among those, a superb example, is the little church of San Sebastiano al Palatino, along the sacred road, beside the Roman Forum, surrounded by a nice garden where it is also possibile to organize a wedding breakfast, if you are not interested in the classical reception.
If you’d rather prefer the big cathedral, the City can satisfy all tastes, from Santa Maria in Aracoeli, at the Campidoglio, to Santa Maria in Cosmedin, beside the Mouth of Truth.
As an alternative, if you decide for a civil celebration, the three town halls are perfect to satisfy all needs and artistic tastes.
As far as the reception is concerned, the choice is wide: you may opt for a romantic candlelit dinner on one of the wonderful terraces overlooking the city, or maybe admiring the capital’s magnificence from a certain distance, in a cosy and elegant atmosphere, like the one that certain villas of the Roman castles may offer..
If, instead, your dream is to immerse yourself into the ancient Roman empire‘s history, you have to select one of the many beautiful villas along the Ancient Appia..
We must not forget that Rome is also a seaside city, which gives you the chance to organize informal weddings on the beach, barefoot and cherished by the Roman west wind (our typical sea breeze)..
