Not yet well-known to the mass tourism, Turin is for sure a destination that cannot be neglected.
Protected by the Alps that sweetly thin out in the green Langhe and Monferrato hills and gently touched by the flowing of the Po river, this delicious northern city offers very evocative baroque and liberty panoramic views, a rich historical heritage, museums and a real artistic and cultural vocation.
Its roots date back to the ancient Romans and the today’s city still maintains its original shape of chessboard map.
Piedmont’s main city has been the first italian capital in 1861 and residence of the Savoy Royal Family.
Inheritance of this past is still visible through prodigious baroque operas, istatues, castles and sumptuous royal residences.
Turin is not just its glorious past. It is a lively and sparkling city that found its way to modernity without loosing the natural elegance that makes it different, unique and magic.
The world seems to have recently discovered a new Turin. Inhabitants appreciate and return back this care with many options to suit everybody’s fancy!
Small workshops, historical places, Turin’s “movida” with its slants pubs, aperitif in front of Po’ river or in a design bars of the roman quadrilateral, music until the break of dawn on the river banks named “Murazzi”… without forgetting the outstanding enogastronomic tradition…
Since 2009 Turin has opened the doors of several renowned buildings for civil celebrations – presided by city mayor.
Four fabulous venues will make your wedding day unforgettable and will offer to the newly weds the opportunity to live a fairy tale in a dreamy place!
The first location is Palazzo Madama.
It was the Siège of Queen royal apartments, located in Piazza Castello, in the very heart of the city, just in front of Palazzo Reale (Royal Palace)
The weds will step up on the overshadowing white marble staircase projected by famous architect Filippo Juvarra and will arrive directly to Senate Hall – core of the building. Here civil ceremonies are held. The room can host up to 120 people.
Those who’d like their wedding to be celebrated in what is considered the symbol of the city, will surely go for the Mole Antonelliana.
Born to be a sinagogue and lately bought by the town hall, today the building hosts the National Museum of the Cinema.
Ceremony here is something more than evocative. The service will take place on its open-air dress circle that offers a panoramic view of the city and its surrounding.
After the ceremony you could have your reception in its delicious rooms inside: light-games, 1900 vaults, and a small terrace with garden together with great Piedmont wines and food delicacies will make everything so special.
Our third suggestion is Sala dei Marmi in Palazzo Civico (Town Hall).
Ceremony will be held in the lovely central room next to famous Sala Rossa (Red Room) where mayor and delegates meet once a week. Palazzo Civico is one of the most beautiful baroque buildings in the city.
Sala dei Marmi overlooks the small square of Palazzo di Città and offers a priceless view of Piazza Castello and of the Mole Antonelliana.
Last but not the least, there is also a fourth possibility: celebrating your marriage at Teatro Carignano, one of the most ancient and important theatres of the city. It was built back in 1700 and a recent renewal has been completed in 2009.
Bring your marriage on the stage!
Your guests will not attend a theatrical performance but a real celebration on the stage of the theatre.
For those that love the cities of art and want to discover a new Italian reality we definitely suggest charming city of Turin!
Beyond the civil celebration we will guide you to discover some romantic corners for your wedding shooting and coffee bars or vintage restaurants or villas for an elegant reception.
