An Asian inspired wedding on the beach in Portofino

A wonderful opportunity for those who love the sea like we do: to design a wedding on the beach, on the narrow silky one that draws the border between Portofino e Santa Margherita, where even the sun lingers before appearing in the morning and disappears early in the evening leaving the stage to silence…

Cerimonia sulla spiaggia di Paraggi

Here, 2 meters far from the water, Cleo, Vietnamese origin, and John celebrated their wedding at sunset; an American couple who decided to get married in Italy and chose the sea as their Man of Honour.

A delicate string quartet, unusually positioned on the sandy beach, accompanied the entrance procession to the ceremony.

The arrangement was deliberately very simple: an altar adorned with a golden organza fabric. Lanterns on the sand. Ivory, yellow and orange rose petals scattered on the main aisle.

Waiting the bride and her bridesmaid, the grooms where wearing “elegant beach suits”: flip flops, ivory shirt and ecru trousers.

Little orange calla lilies and brighter orange lilies enriched the entrance arch to the beach and the evening reception.

The bridal bouquet, heart of the arrangements, was a bunch of orange calla lilies, simple tongues of fire in the wind wrapped in a small Asian lace ribbon.

I was wondering if this was a legal wedding or symbolic? If legal, it seems a perfect place for my friend to be married!

Legal ceremonies are possible if a certain procedure is followed.
