Masserias are one of the most recognizable expressions of Apulian architecture. Different types of masserias can be found here, from conventional to rural, from colonial to fortified ones. Researching an ideal place where to celebrate the wedding day, requires a long time and above all, original proposals and ideas, to be different from the other ones. We are here to propose you these wonderful Masserias, located in the peaceful countryside of the sunny Puglia, that in ancient times were aristocratic Houses.
Built with a typical local white painted stone, The Masserias were partially converted into defensive structures with robust towers and walls . Even preserving their charm, architectural characteristics, and mystery the Masserias today are completely restored.
Today they are used to celebrate gala dinners, wedding parties and fairytale receptions : furniture, tapestry and soft furnishings carefully saved; lime painted walls, vintage and elegant floors delicately polished; high ceilings and arches. The traces of the past, emerge in every room. The warehouse used to deposit the wheat, the agricultural equipment, today are apt to organize exclusive receptions with courtesy and professionalism.
The areas used in ancient times as olive press, become today welcome-cocktail rooms; the wide age–old olive groves are the right frame for outdoor parties. Don’t forget the small and private family churches that belonged to the owner of the Masseria. Even these are perfectly restored in every little detail, becoming in this way the ideal place where to have refined and unusual events.
